Damon Becnel
Damon R. Becnel is a Real Estate Developer, Construction Project Manager, and Resort Operations Director with over 20 years of experience in the industry. Damon has been responsible for building over $1 Billion worth of residential and commercial projects from start to finish as well as overseeing operations at some of the most luxurious resort destinations in Florida’s Panhandle. His extensive knowledge of construction management, permitting processes, land acquisition strategies, and design/build practices give him an intimate understanding that few others possess in this field.
In 2003 Damon established DRB Development LLC which quickly became one of Northwest Florida’s premier developers specializing in high-end custom home communities on golf courses throughout the region. In 2013 Damon was awarded his second Pinnacle Award for Excellence in Construction Management from the Suncoast Chapter of PCA&D.
With over 20 years in the resort industry, Damon worked his way through every aspect of golf course management and operations. He has much experience in marketing strategies, revenue optimization, banquet/meeting planning, food & beverage, housekeeping services, landscaping contracts, golf course maintenance contracts and much more.
The Damon Becnel Academic Scholarship awards scholarships annually to academically talented and highly motivated students who intend to pursue full-time undergraduate, graduate or doctoral degrees. He hopes that students interested in ecological land development, business, land scaping, and more will apply!
